A Wichita Falls man remains in the Wichita County Jail on a $250,000 bond following his arrest on Friday on charges of Injury to a Child.
According to the arrest affidavit, the incident happened in January, when 27-year-old Charles Edward Manning was supposed to be watching a 5-year-old boy, and a 3-year-old boy.
Investigators say Manning admitted to drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana and leaving the two children unsupervised. Wichita Falls police say the 5-year-old suffered a bloody nose, swelling to the right side of his face and bruising under his right eye and inside his mouth. Authorities say the child also has a mental deficiency.
The arrest affidavit also states that the injuries happened between the time the child's mother left and then returned home.
