Man Arrested After Meth Ingredients Found in Car

On the morning of April 1st, around 1 a.m., a red Ford Focus was stopped in the 700 block of Baylor for no taillights.

The driver was identified as Jason Matthew McWhorter.  An officer on scene observed that McWhorter could possibly be armed with a weapon.  McWhorter was then frisked along with the lunge area inside the vehicle. 

The search of the lunge area revealed ingredients commonly used to create methamphetamine.  As the officers continued to search the vehicle they located around 0.4 grams of Meth.   McWhorter was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, less than 1 gram.
