Texoma Girls Were The "Belle of the Ball" - KAUZ-TV: Newschannel 6 Now | Wichita Falls, TX

Texoma Girls Were The "Belle of the Ball"

Many girls in Texoma had the opportunity on Saturday to be the "Belle of the Ball".

"Belle of the Ball" is a Prom Dress Drive that helps serve girls in the community who are need of a prom dress, but can't afford one.

Over 500 hundred were donated in many different styles, colors and sizes.

"It feels very good.  I really enjoy giving back to the community, so it feels really good to see how happy people are," said Event Manager, Serena Ramirez.

Ramirez was a Newschannel 6 Community Service Champion in 2014 for her work with "Belle of the Ball".

Wichita Falls' Hirschi High School donated the most dresses, so students will receive a free prom.

If you missed "Belle of the Ball" on Saturday, there will be another opportunity on Sunday, April 12th.
