Warrant Arrest Leads to Discovery of 175 Grams of Meth

A Wichita Falls police officer made an arrest on a city warrant, leading to the discovery of just over 175 grams of methamphetamine.

Authorities say 29-year-old Joseph Humphreys was walking at the intersection of Avenue E and Monroe  around 1:15 p.m. in the afternoon on Saturday, April 4th.

Police say he'd been wanted on a warrant for an incident the day before.

Authorities say the meth tipped the scales at 175.4, and that there were also unopened packages of syringes, a scale and several small zip-lock bags in Humphreys' backpack.

Humphreys has been charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. His bond is set at $50,000.
