Wichita Falls Nighthawks defensive lineman Terrance Lloyd was named the Indoor Football League's Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Lloyd had four sacks in Saturday's 58-27 win over the Bemidji (MN) Axemen, the first IFL victory for the Nighthawks. He recorded six total tackles and also forced a fumble in the Nighthawks' big second-half push that put the game away.
The Nighthawks (1-4) will have a bye this weekend, then return to the scene of their season-opener to start a home-and-home series with the Colorado Ice (2-2).
The team also made a few roster moves Wednesday, releasing LB Bruni Foster and DL Lenard Williams and activating DB Deante Purvis from injured reserve.
