Jury Selection Begins For Luna Murder Trial

The murder trial of a Duncan teen is set to begin Monday morning.

Jury selection will begin at the Stephens County Courthouse for Chancey Luna, who is accused of shooting Australian Christopher Lane in the back as he was jogging in Duncan in 2013.

In the weeks leading up to the trial, Luna's attorneys have filed several motions to move it out of the county, citing widespread publicity would prevent a fair trial. However, District Judge Ken Graham has rejected those requests, saying he believes a fair and impartial jury can be found.

Jury selection began at 9 a.m. Monday morning. Judge Graham says he may revisit the question during that time.
