WFISD Superintendent Named Superintendent of Beaumont ISD

Wichita Falls, TX. - On Monday night, Dr. Frossard, current superintendent of the Wichita Falls ISD, was named the lone finalist of the Beaumont ISD superintendent search. Per Texas education code, there is a 21-day waiting period before taking the position. During that time, he will continue his duties in the WFISD and aid in the transition in administration. The Board of Trustees is developing a transition plan and will announce an interim superintendent by the end of the week.

"Considering a potential move leaves me with mixed feelings.  I'm very proud of what our students and staff have accomplished in the past three years.  On the other hand, Beaumont has a number of challenges and their needs match well with my skills and experience," said Dr. Frossard.

During his tenure, Dr. Frossard has overseen a number of positive changes in the WFISD. He is leaving the district much better than he found it in many ways.

"His leadership in a time of major change in our district has been welcomed and appreciated," said board president Mr. Trey Sralla, "We all wish he and his family the best as they embark on a new chapter in their lives."

Dr. Frossard believes that the upcoming facilities bond remains a top priority of the district and the needs of the students must always remain paramount. The board and administrative team that helped craft the bond remain dedicated to seeing it through.

Beaumont ISD has been taken over by the state due to a myriad of problems. Dr. Frossard will be tasked with bringing that district back from severe financial mismanagement and other significant challenges.
