Soldier Arrested After Allegedly Attempting to Blackmail Young Girl

Ft. Sill, Okla. - A soldier going through boot camp at Fort Sill was arrested for allegedly trying to blackmail a young girl into sending nude photos of herself.

On April 8th, Ryan Cullen was arrested by U.S. Marshals and Fort Sill Military Police. According to the authorities, Cullen allegedly met a 12-year-girl online and tried to get her to send him nude photos of herself. U.S. Marshals say he then tried to blackmail her when she refused to send the photo.

"When that failed, he allegedly tried to blackmail her by stating he would take the picture she had sent and superimpose her face on a naked body. He threatened to then resend the altered photo to all of her friends," said U.S. Marshals in a press release.

Cullen will be taken to Colorado to face charges.

This arrest was part of Operation Violence Reduction7. The operation ran from March 2 until April 10 and resulted in 7,127 arrests nationwide.
