11-year-old Gives Back On Her Birthday

A Texoma girl chose to celebrate her 11th birthday on Saturday by giving back.

Isabella groves chose to have her birthday party at the Wichita Falls Food Bank.

Groves and 18 other young girls went through 1,256 pounds of food, made 406 produce express bags which will feed 1,624 people.

"I wanted to do something different and help the community.  I've been wanting to, but I just didn't follow through with it for the past few years, but I finally did," said Isabella Groves.

"She's always had a heart for service and this is just a reflection of what is inside of her, so it makes me very proud," said Adam Groves.

The girls also processed over 3,000 cans that were collected from Friday's Monster Truck Jam at the Kay Yeager Coliseum.
