Pennies For Pets

"Pennies for PETS" is a program completely run by the Rider High School National Honor Society. The NHS members have divided into groups to collect money from almost every area in Wichita Falls.

The students will deliver fliers to each house during the course of this week. Collection day is April 25th. Students will go door-to-door to collect any spare change or donations.

The project gives 50 percent of the proceeds to the PETS Clinic. The PETS clinic is a local neuter clinic for dogs and cats. With the help of this low-cost neutering service, the population of stray cats and dogs have decreased exponentially.  The other 50 percent of the proceeds go to the Human Society of Wichita County.

Since 2004, Rider NHS has raised over $100,000 for this non-profit organization. The Rider High School NHS hopes to raise $14,000 this year.
