Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Methamphetamine

Wichita Falls, TX - A driver and his passenger were arrested after Wichita County Sheriff's Deputies made a traffic stop along Kemp.

According to the affidavit, on April 18th deputies pulled over 28-year-old Trent Weaver in the 900 block of Kemp around 9:30 p.m. for a non-functioning taillight. Deputies say Weaver consented to a search, which led them to find a glass pipe, digital scales and almost 30 grams of meth. Authorities also say there an unused syringe, and other drug paraphernalia were present inside the vehicle.

Weaver was charged with Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 Over 4 Gram – Under 200 Grams.

Weaver remains behind bars at the Wichita County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
