Man Resists Arrest, Breaks Window Inside Police Station

Electra, TX -

Around 10:55 a.m. Wednesday morning, an individual who had a warrant for a class B misdemeanor was at the Electra Police Department when he began to resist arrest.

Authorities said that in the interest of both the suspect's safety and their own, Electra Police called in the Wichita County Sheriff's Office for backup. A local game warden and a DPS trooper also arrived to provide assistance.

The suspect broke a window inside the police department and suffered minor abrasions before police could regain control of the suspect.

The suspect was taken to Electra Memorial Hospital, and from there was transported to the Wichita County Jail.

The suspect was charged with Criminal Mischief.
