Search Warrant Leads to Large Marijuana Bust

Wichita Falls, TX -  Investigators with the Wichita County District Attorney's Office Drug Enforcement Division executed a search warrant on two different houses in the 100 block of Fillmore on Thursday, which ended in the arrest of two people and the seizure of a large amount of marijuana.

According to the arrest affidavit, 41-year-old Daniel Christopher Lawler (left of picture) and 40-year-old Jeanne Lynn Folkers were both arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana over five pounds and under 50 pounds in a Drug Free Zone.

Authorities say the pot plants were being grown at one house with an elaborate lighting and ventilation system. In fact, the height of the hydroponic grow box containing five marijuana plants was approximately six feet tall, and covered nearly half of the bedroom.

There were also containers filled with marijuana at both houses on Fillmore.  Authorities say both houses are located within one thousand feet of Lucy Park, which is a Drug Free Zone.

Lawler and Folkers have since bonded out of the Wichita County Jail.
