Wichita County Sheriff's Deputies Led on Chase After Home Invasion

Wichita Falls, Texas - On Tuesday, Wichita County Sheriff's Deputies were led on a chase that started on Highway 79 North between Hampton Road and the Wichita/Clay county line.

According to police, the incident began when police received a call from a homeowner who stated that two black males kicked in his front door and began to take items. However, the homeowner brandished his firearm and told the suspects to drop his stuff and leave. The suspects left behind the items and took off.

The homeowner called Sheriff's Office, and Deputies arrived quickly to the scene. The Deputies began chasing the suspects on Andrews Drive.

The driver crashed the red Alero they were driving at the intersection of Mitchell and Elwood streets, where the passenger in the car managed to escape.

The driver was arrested, and the passenger is still on the loose.
