Wichita Falls, Texas - Around 1:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, Wichita Falls Police arrested a man for possession of methamphetamine.
According to officials, officers initiated a traffic stop on white Chevrolet that was driving on Kell East because the car had no insurance. However, the driver of the vehicle did not stop.
The driver continued to drive, and even ran a red light, before stopping at the Motel 6 located in the 1200 block of Broad Street.
Police identified the driver as 32-year-old Robert Engel, who started making furtive movements in the car before he was asked to step out of the vehicle. Police then impounded the vehicle as per city ordinance for vehicles without insurance.
Inventory of the vehicle revealed a glassy rock substance spread into the gear shaft, as well as a bag of the same substance. The substance later tested positive for methamphetamine. Overall the amount of meth found was 1.1 gram.
