Man Arrested for Sexual Assault

Wichita Falls, Texas -

A Burkburnett man is in the Wichita County Jail on bonds totalling almost half a million dollars for an incident that authorities say happened in February, and that the victim was a minor.

Investigators say 28-year-old Mark Chacon allegedly sexually assaulted the victim inside a shed behind a vacant house in the 1700 block of Monroe.

According to the arrest affidavit, Wichita Falls Police Detectives say that the victim told them Chacon not only committed the sexual assault, and forced the victim to remove clothing, but also refused to stop when he was told "no".

Authorities say Chacon's DNA was found on a used condom on the ground near the shed. In late April, a forensic lab matched a saliva sample with the contents on the condom, and that they matched Chacon's DNA.

He's jailed on a $400,000 dollar bond for the Sexual Assault, and has an additional bond of $10,000 for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.
