Mail Delivery Impacted by Flooding

Wichita Falls, Texas - U.S. Postal Service employees in facilities in the Wichita Falls areas that are affected by flash flooding and mandatory evacuations are working to process and deliver mail.

All Post Offices are expected to be open for business during normal hours, unless closed due to inaccessibility because of road conditions or power outages.

For the residents in the mandatory evacuation area located in ZIP Code 76305, mail will be available for pick up at the Morningside Station, located on 3107 5

Street, Wichita Falls, TX 76301.  Morningside Station hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

In locations where roads are impassable, or unsafe for travel due to closure by local emergency officials, mail delivery services may be temporarily curtailed until normal conditions are restored. Those customers who are unable to receive mail delivery may pick up mail at their local delivery Post Office.

USPS stated that if mailboxes are blocked off and conditions are difficult, letter carriers must always consider safety and accessibility first. Letter carriers are instructed to not deliver to mailboxes and locations which are too hazardous to access.

Customers can call the Postal Service's toll-free number at (800-275-8777) or the TTY number (877-889-2457) for help with any postal related questions they may have.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
