Wichita Falls, Texas – A Wichita Falls organization is helping those who have lost items to the floods that that are not easily replaced.
Disaster Helping Hands is a local organization that has been helping families that have been affected by both natural and manmade disasters since 2006, supplying them with food, furniture and appliances in their time of need.
The founder and director of Disaster Helping Hands, Leon Green stated that the organization is working with the Red Cross in finding those who are in need.
""We helped with the flood of 2007, and now we want to assist in this situation," said Green. "I enjoy doing it; I've been doing it for six and a half years."
Disaster Helping Hands will be doing fundraising between 9:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. To donate any furniture and appliances, call (940)704-9258 to schedule a pick up time. Paperwork will also be offered for tax write-offs.
