Wichita Falls, Texas- Officials from the City of Wichita Falls and Wichita County are urging all residents to monitor weather updates and news reports on television, radio, newspaper, social media and websites related to the possibility of severe flooding.
Anyone can also sign up to receive free emailed briefings and press releases by going to the City's website, wichitafallstx.gov, click on Notify Me in the left-hand column of the homepage, follow the prompts and choose City Press Releases.
Area Emergency Management personnel have been working closely with the National Weather Service (NWS) to determine the severity of the threat of flooding in the City and County. The NWS feels that the likelihood of severe flooding is possible beginning late Saturday night (May 23rd) and running through early next week.
