Wichita Falls - By this time next week, we may be able to officially say the drought is over in Wichita Falls.
Newschannel 6 just received a copy the Wichita Falls City Council agenda. It includes a "resolution announcing the termination of drought restrictions in accordance with the City's water conservation ordinance."
The city agenda notes that all of the water supply reservoirs have received significant rain fall since May 4.
As of May 27, combined lake levels for lakes Arrowhead and Kickapoo were just shy of 100 percent.
