Police Arrest Shooting Suspect

Wichita Falls, Texas - A man who police say is wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred in January at a Wichita Falls apartment complex has been arrested.

According to the affidavit, on January 22nd, Wichita Falls Police Officers heard gunshots in the 1000 block of Redwood. The officers went to investigate, where they encountered a disturbance between two black males and a black female. Officers say they then saw one of the men running from the scene, while the other man took off in a car.

Later, officers learned the man in the car drove to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim told police that he and his girlfriend got into a disagreement with the girlfriend's cousin, 27-year-old Tyron Oliver, and that Oliver hit the victim in the face, pulled a gun, and shot the victim in the leg.

Police say Oliver ran away, but left plenty of evidence behind including a shoe, a cell phone, a handgun and a hat.

, Oliver was arrested and booked into the Wichita County Jail. Oliver has been charged with Aggravated Assault. His bond is $100,000.
