Two suspects are behind bars after police say they were connected the burglaries of several vehicles.
On June 1st around 6:30 a.m., WFPD patrol officers were dispatched to the area of San Simeon and Elmwood on a report of multiple vehicle burglaries.
During the investigation, officers were given a surveillance photo of the burglars in action breaking into a car. Officers met with the victim and were able to track the phone to an apartment located at the 2200 block of Harrison.
Officers responded to the tracked phone's location, where 28-year-old Ronald Giner answered the door. The officers immediately recognized Giner to be the person they saw in the photo breaking into a vehicle.
Giner was found to be in possession of the stolen phone. Giner and his girlfriend, 26-year-old Tiffany Green, confessed to several vehicle burglaries and the stolen property was recovered, including a handgun.
