Vigil For Friday Morning Accident Victims

Friends and Family of those involved in a tragic accident early Friday morning gathered at the site of the accident for a vigil.

Just after 1:00 a.m., emergency crews responded to a call about a car submerged off the access road along Highway 287 in Wichita Falls.

Four people were in the car as it ran into Holiday Creek.

All were taken to the hospital, but 19-year-old Juan Calixto and 17-year-old Antonio Sanchez died from their injuries.

Newschannel 6 has learned Sanchez was set to walk the stage Saturday, graduating from Rider High School.

The driver, 21-year-old Omar Vera, is being charged with two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter.
