Oklahoma Prison Escapee Back Behind Bars

Escaped prisoner Jerry Hobbs is back in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

Hobbs walked away from the William S. Key Correctional Center over the weekend. Officials tell Newschannel 6 he was hiding in some nearby woods and ended up in a lake. Officers who were searching for him pulled him from the waters around 3:15 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Hobbs was in jail on drug convictions. He has had a checkered past in Texoma.

Hobbs will now finish out his sentence in a higher security prison in Oklahoma.
