The annual Oil Bowl Hall of Fame Induction Banquet was Friday night at the Maskat Shrine Center in Wichita Falls.
This year's inductees were Texoma Sporting Goods giants Jerry Johnson, of Jerry's Sporting Goods, and Eddie Andrews, formerly of Bobby Evans Sporting Goods, and now with Jerry's.
Also, we got to hear from special guest speaker Harli White, a sprint-car racer who was badly burned in a crash in her first-ever race, at the age of twelve. She was treated by the official charity of the Oil Bowl, the Shriners Children's Hospital in Galveston.
"Luckily, I was able to be a part of Shriners in the first place, and be able to have the best care in the world," White said before the banquet. "I've been really blessed to be able to do a bunch of events with them. It's a lot more fun doing the events, rather than being in the hospital. So, I enjoy it, and I get to do a lot of fun stuff, and I'm looking forward to the next thing."
