YMCA Soap Box Races

It's that time of year again! The YMCA Soap Box Races are right around the corner. The races will hit the streets of Wichita Falls June 27, 2015.

To register all you have to do is fill our registration packets that are available at the Downtown Y, Family Y, or online. Those packets are asked to be submitted by June 15, 2015.

There are multiple categories for children and adults. Children ages 7-12 will register for Super Stock Kids. That registration is $100, and a car is provided. Special needs children ages 7-12 will register for Super Kids. That is $50 and a car is also provided.

For ages 12 and up (including adults) registration is only $10. However, cars are not provided. Check-In time is at 8:00am, the day of the June 27. The races are from 9:00am to12:00pm.

If you don't want to race, you can still join in the fun. A United For Christ Car Show will also be out on site.

Registration for the car show is at 8:00 am, and then runs from 9:00am to 12:00pm. It's a $20 entry fee for a car or truck, and a $15 entry fee for bike or motorcycle. Vendors are also more than welcomed at a $25 vendor booth fee.

All proceeds benefit the YMCA annual youth campaign. Funds from the campaign insure no child is denied participation in YMCA membership or programs due to the inability to pay. For more information you can head to the website:  ymcawf.org
