Midwestern State University to Offer New Programs

Wichita Falls, Texas - Midwestern State University is opening up more options for students who want a career in healthcare.

students will now have the option of getting a minor in medical sociology, it's a first of its kind in Texas and one of the few in the country, and it is geared toward helping students understand the relationship of health to social factors.

Students who might consider the minor include those enrolled in nursing, health administration, and pre-med programs.

Also, students who want to work in radiology will now be able to take advantage of a new certification program in CT scan technology.

The program consists of online didactic courses

. The certification will prepare students to take the post primary certification examination in computed tomography offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
