Boomtown Bay in Burkburnett officially opened to the public after weeks of delays caused by weather.
Megan January is the Aquatics manager for the park. January said they already have multiple events booked and people could be seen outside the gate waiting to get in before the opening.
The park is going to be more than just entertaining, it's also help boost the local economy by drawing in outside residents. Many of the employees live in Burkburnett meaning money spent on staff has a high chance of being spent in town.
"We have about 78 seasonal jobs about a little over 50 lifeguards," said January.
Many of them local teens in high school and college looking for a solid part time job before school starts back up in August and September.
The parks delayed opening will mean an extended season, the park will remain open until September 13th.
