Man Shot in Shoulder, Suspect Arrested

Lawton, Oklahoma - One person was shot in the shoulder, and the suspect was arrested a few minutes later Sunday evening.

Police were called to the 7000 block of Westchester Circle around 7:00 p.m. Sunday in regard to a shooting. A witness told the officers that a friend of his had been shot, and was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital by two other people.

Police put out a call over the radio to look for a dark blue SUV involved in the shooting that was heading east on Gore Boulevard.

Soon after the call went out, police found the SUV nearby at the intersection of 67th Street and Gore Boulevard. All four passengers were taken into custody. Deandre Wilson, one of the passengers, was identified by the victim and witnesses as the shooter.

The 22-year-old victim says Wilson shot at him several times and continued shooting after he got into a vehicle. It's unclear exactly when he was shot, but he felt pain once he was in the vehicle. Witnesses believe he was shot in the shoulder as he was getting into the vehicle.

Wilson was arrested for shooting with intent to kill and reckless conduct with a firearm. The case is still under investigation.
