Oklahoma - According to District Attorney John Wampler, law enforcement officers from four counties in Southwest Oklahoma spread out early Tuesday morning armed with arrest warrants for 19 individuals suspected of drug dealing.
The arrests were the culmination of several months of investigations and undercover purchases of illegal drugs by the District Three DA Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.
According to Wampler, the officers had warrants for the arrest of twelve individuals in Jackson County, four in Tillman County, two in Harmon County and one in Greer County. All but two of the individuals were suspected of Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and the other two are charged with Possession of CDS. Most of the arrests involved methamphetamine, but also included were marijuana and heroin.
As of 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, thirteen of the suspects have been arrested, and one other individual was arrested on an unrelated outstanding warrant.
