Love on Wheels

Love on Wheels

Monday was definitely an emotional day for many foster parents, of animals, who have just sent their furry friends to find a "fur-ever home".
Thanks, in part, to the generosity of the Texoma community, 14 dogs are "em-barking" on a journey to New York, and new beginnings with new families.
The dogs are all from the Texoma community, and are the recipients of a program called Love on Wheels, which saves the lives of animals who would have otherwise been euthanized.
Lincoln and Cassie are brother and sister pups that were found as strays in Iowa Park and both were nearly starving to death..
Thanks to Texas Pit Crew foster parent Dee Stanfield, both dogs are not only thriving  now but are one step closer to finding a forever home..
Wichita Falls Area Coordinator for Love on Wheels, Jan Herzog, said the program teams up with rescue groups throughout the area and allows dogs like Lincoln and Cassie transported to New York.
To foster a dog for this program is not a long term commitment, but that doesn't mean it's easy for people to say goodbye.
It was the first time Dee Stanfield took part in Love on Wheels and why she said there were mixed feelings loading the 2 pups up who had spent the last 3 weeks with her, she said she will be helping out again.
If you would like to help, Love on Wheels is in need of more fosters and financial backing.
You can contact the Coordinator Jan Herzog by looking up her name on Facebook or clicking on this link. https://www.facebook.com/jan.herzog.75?fref=ts
