A Texoma county could soon become the new energy hub in Facebook's billion dollar data center in Fort Worth. Today, Governor Greg Abbott was in Fort Worth to help break ground on the data center.
KTVT the Fort Worth CBS affiliate reports that the center will be completely powered by wind generated energy. The report goes on to explain that the wind farm generating that energy will be somewhere in Clay County.
Newschannel6 reached out to Clay County officials, but many said they had no direct knowledge of a wind farm that would generate power for a data center in Fort Worth. Newschannel6 also reached out to Facebook public relations and other contractors said to be involved in the project, but none were available to talk today.
