Oncor Officials Warn of Scam Attempts

According to Oncor Area Manager Gordon Drake, Oncor has been made aware of possible electric service payment scams taking place within certain parts of their service territory.
Oncor stated that their company does not bill customers directly for their electricity usage; Oncor does not call customers for payment; Oncor does not ever request payment from a customer in order to prevent your power from being disconnected.
Furthermore, Oncor does not go door to door soliciting customer's for information to assist with their electric bill or rate. Oncor representatives should always carry and be able to provide their company identification card.
