Police: Man Arrested After Nightclub Assault

Wichita Falls, Texas - A Wichita Falls man ended up in the Wichita County Jail after an incident that all began at a Wichita Falls nightclub.

According to the arrest affidavit, police were dispatched to Denim and Diamonds  shortly before 1 a.m. Friday morning to investigate an alleged assault of three women.

Police say the suspect took off in an Impala, and was driving south on Kemp. Police found the vehicle and the driver and ordered him to stop.  That’s when, according to police, 32-year-old Hector Saldivar walked away from the officers and had to be tasered.

Police say part of the taser hit Saldivar in his rear end and that he kept running. However, after a quick foot chase, he was arrested.

Police say they found a Glock-4 handgun, and that the serial number on the gun matched a gun that had been stolen.

Saldivar is charged with Unlawful Possession of Firearm, Evading Arrest or Detention- Enhanced and Theft of a Firearm possession.
