Wichita Falls Bank Robbery Suspect Caught

WICHITA FALLS, TX - The alleged suspect involved in last week's bank robbery at Wells Fargo is now behind bars.

Officers were called out to America's Best Value Inn in Wichita Falls a little after 1:30 Thursday morning.
Police say they arrested 27-year-old Stephen Landon Mack without incident.

Mack was wanted in connection with the July 16th robbery at the Wells Fargo bank located in the United Supermarket in the 4500 block of Jacksboro Highway. Mack has also been identified by the Lawton Police Department as the person responsible for the IBC bank robbery, which happened July 18th. Mack also has an arrest warrant issued by the Sherman Police Department for a bank robbery at the First Texoma National Bank in Sherman, Texas.

"The Organized Crime Unit along with the Patrol Unit and our Task Force put surveillance in that area and were able to locate the suspect and get him arrested for the bank robbery.  We did have a lot of Crime Stoppers tips that did come in based on this robbery, so even though we may have a person already identified, we like to get those additional tips from other people because it all helps to look at other areas of investigation," said Wichita Falls Police Chief, Manuel Borrego.

Police also arrested 25-year-old Andrea Battle, who police say, sometimes goes by the last name of Mack.
Battle is wanted for Exploitation of a Child.

No word yet on how long the two had been at the hotel.
