Murder Suspect Pleads Guilty to Charges

Wichita Falls, Texas - An accused murderer pleaded guilty on Friday morning.
Davontay Tyrone Johnson was attending his pre-trial on Friday morning in the 78th District Court, where he pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the Capital Murder. Johnson also received a 15 year sentence in prison for the Aggravated Robbery. The sentences will run concurrently.

Johnson was accused of murdering 35-year-old David May inside his home on Woods Street on January 29th, 2013. Johnson was 18-years-old at the time of the murder.

Johnson, Brandon Mabonga, and Jonathan Booker were all charged in this case. Wichita Falls Police say a gun was found in the car of one of the teens, tying them to May's murder.
