Driver Gets in 3 Crashes on Taft
Three different car accidents has landed a man behind bars.
Wichita Falls Police tell Newschannel 6 they began receiving calls just before 8 p.m. Thursday night.
Callers said that a man ran into the Taco Casa building on the corner of Southwest Parkway and Taft.
Officers say employees tried to keep him there, but he sped off, hitting a car in the intersection.
The car he hit began to follow him down Taft. The driver says he continued to run into other cars.
The series of crashes ended at the corner of Taft and Midwestern Parkway.
Police say they found the driver, later identified as 41-year-old Nicholas Espinoza, still sitting in the vehicle with the motor running. Police also say that Espinoza showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol, and after they performed several field sobriety tests, Espinoza was arrested and later charged with Driving While Intoxicated - Enhanced.
