Wings For Warriors: Benefit Ride

The Wichita Falls American Legion Post 120 and Post 202 are hoping to make dreams come true for some military men and women in Wichita Falls. The goal for Wings for Warriors is to send those men and women home for the holidays.

Last Christmas the group sent 13 different military service members home to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones. The group has raised around $13,000 to spend on flight vouchers.

This year they are hoping to send even more home. They have a goal of raising around $25,000 to send 25 different service members home for the holidays.

On August 15, 2015 the American Legion Post 120 and 202 will host a benefit ride. All funds raised will go straight toward sending service members home for Christmas.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, and the first bike is out by 10 a.m. Its $20 for single riders, and $25 for doubles. The cost includes meals and an after party at P2-  The Deuce.

The first 100 will get a free t-shirt. You can also look forward to a number of prizes and giveaways.

If you can't make it to the event you can still help send more military members home by donating! You can contact the American Legion Post 120, or you can call Robert Reams at (940)867-5141.
