UPDATE: Police have arrested a suspect in connection to an overnight burglary at the Dollar General on Call Field Road on August 13.

21-year-old Mathew Wellman was arrested Wednesday around 5:30 p.m. at his residence at Circle's Edge in Wichita Falls.

Wellman has been charged with Burglary of a Building.

8/13/15: Police are investigating an overnight burglary at the Dollar General on Call Field Road.

According to police, the suspect broke through the front door of the business a little before midnight Wednesday night and appeared to be filling up a shopping cart with cases of beer and other items.  

The suspect made it outside of the store with the shopping cart, but then took off before officers arrived, leaving the shopping cart and items in the parking lot. Police are now taking fingerprints off the shopping cart in an attempt to identify the suspect. 

Police say the suspect was described as a white male wearing a black shirt and jeans.
