Police: Man Arrested for Robbery at Local Walmart

Wichita Falls, Texas – A man is behind bars following a chase through a local Walmart store.

On Tuesday morning, around 9:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Walmart located in the 5100 block of Greenbriar in reference to a theft of merchandise in progress.

The suspect, 25-year-old Nathan Daniel Wilson, was stopped by officers and loss prevention employees as he was leaving the property. Wilson complied with commands given to him the officer as he was escorted to the loss prevention office, but he then ran into the store without warning.

Officials chased Wilson, who had merchandise falling out of the cuffs of his pants around his shoes.

Wilson attempted to exit the store at multiple doors, but was unsuccessful due to employees blocking the doors. During his attempt to get away, Wilson assaulted a Walmart employee, causing minor injuries.

Wilson was cornered by police and employees as he attempted to hide in a produce cooler, and after briefly resisting arrest, Wilson was taken into custody.

Wilson has been charged with Robbery, Resisting Arrest and Evading Arrest/Detention.
