Police: Three Arrested After Traffic Stop

Wichita Falls, Texas – Three suspects have been arrested after a traffic stop caused by the failure of a turn signal led to the discovery of drugs and drug paraphernalia in the backseat.

According to police, on August 21st, around 11:50 a.m., an officer with the Wichita Falls Police Department stopped a blue Hyundai in the 1000 block of Denver for failing to signal a turn.

The officer made contact with the female driver, identified as Taunya Marie Poage. Further investigation revealed that Poage had an outstanding warrant for her arrest.  Poage was placed under arrest at the scene.

Consent was given to search the vehicle, and during the search, the officer located drug paraphernalia in the backseat of the vehicle, along with methamphetamine and approximately 8 grams of pills.

Terry Jones and Sean Robinette, both passengers in the vehicle, were also placed under arrest.

All three subjects were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Dangerous Drug since the items were within the reach of all the occupants of the vehicle.
