MSU Students Help Provide Relief for Island Hit by Tropical Storm Erika

Wichita Falls, Texas - When Tropical Storm Erika devastated the Caribbean island of Dominica, it hit close to home for many MSU students, and now they're jumping in to help.

The Midwestern State Caribbean Students Organization, with assistance from the entire MSU student body, is collecting supplies to send to Dominica.

Needed items include wheelchairs, diapers, baby food, formula and bottles, non-perishable food and canned goods, medical supplies, bed linens, flashlights, batteries and emergency supplies.

Alefia Paris-Toulon, a Dominica Relief Organizer, asked for help from the Wichita Falls community.

"As members of the community, I would like to urge the larger community to please contribute to the donation drive,” Paris-Toulon said.

Collection boxes can be found in the Moffett Library , the Clark Student Center and the Dillard College of Business Administration on the MSU campus.
