The annual Fiestas Patrias Parade brought hundreds of people to downtown Wichita Falls. The parade is made to honor those who have Hispanic and American heritage.
"We have this Parade, which is actually coordinated by our lady Guadalupe church and we just appreciate the fact that Telemundo our Spanish TV network sister station to Newschannel6 is a part of it," said Alicia Perez of Telemundo Texoma.
Our Lady Guadalupe is the main coordinator, but other churches take part as well like Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
"It celebrates the wonderful Heritage that Wichita Falls of those Hispanics in our community, especially those from Mexico how much they contribute to the life, culture and the flavor of this city," said Sacred Heart Pastor Jack Mckone.
Over 200 people attended the Fiestas Patrias Parade. The event is one of many scheduled over the next month to celebrate and honor Hispanic Heritage Month.
