Former Throckmorton City Official Found Guilty of Embezzlement

Throckmorton, Texas - A former Throckmorton city employee is on probation after she was found guilty of embezzling nearly $1,400 on Monday.

Paula Chambers was the Assistant City Secretary, but left her position in May of 2012.

However, the person who took over for her noticed problems with missing funds, and city officials had to bring in auditors who audited the time frame of May, 2012 to October, 2012.

Chambers was found guilty and was sentenced to three years probation. Chambers also has to pay $1,395 in restitution to the city, and a fine of $1,000.
