Man Sentenced to Five Years for Aggravated Robbery

Wichita Falls, Texas - Five years behind bars, that was the sentence for a Texoma man who was accused of trying to rob a pharmacy.

The sentence was handed down Tuesday.

In December of 2014, police found 26-year-old John Williamson holding a large knife inside United Market Street. Williamson dropped the weapon and tried to run away. Williamson was charged with Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon.

That's when a police officer working security for the store tased him and took him into custody.

Williamson will have to serve at least two and a half years before he will be eligible for parole.
