Lawton Police Investigate Deadly Shooting

Lawton, Okla. - Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred in the north side of Lawton on Wednesday evening.

According to officials, police were called for help around 8:00 p.m., saying a man had been shot near his home at 2212 Northwest Pollard Avenue.

Police say the victim was dead when EMTs arrived on scene.

A few minutes after the shooting was reported, another report came in of shots fired just a couple of blocks away on Northwest Hoover Avenue.

 A security guard at a nearby apartment complex placed a female juvenile running from the area in custody. Police are looking for her after she managed to break free. Police K9s were brought in to help search for her.

A male juvenile is in police custody. Police are interviewing several witnesses.
