Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault

Wichita Falls, Texas - A man is behind bars after police say he pointed a gun at two people when they confronted him for looking into their cars with a flashlight.

According to police, around 5 a.m. on September 20th in the 4100 block of Mustang, officers responded to an incident where a male with short hair and facial hair, later identified as 24-year-old Josh Jerry Casillas, was looking into a vehicle with a flashlight.

Police say the victim confronted Casillas, who pointed a gun at them, and fired a shot into the air before leaving.

Around 6 a.m. officers received another call in the 3800 block of Clovis about a suspect that matched the description of the first incident looking into a vehicle.

Again, the victim confronted Casillas, only to have Casillas point the gun at them before fleeing in a silver Ford Focus.

Officers found the vehicle and discovered Casillas, who matched the description the victims gave, in the passenger seat.

Officers also found a gun in the vehicle, as well as several items that police believe were stolen.

Casillas was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, and the vehicle was impounded.
