Texoma Man Inducted into Rodeo Hall of Fame

A Texoma man has been inducted into the Rodeo Hall of Fame.

It happened at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City on September, 23rd, 2015.

Bobby DelVecchio is the original “urban cowboy.”  The Bowie resident embarked on a rodeo career against all odds from an area where cowboys were unheard of.  This was all the way in New York City.

He earned the 1981-1982 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Reserve World Championships, and qualified to compete at the national finals rodeo six consecutive times.

DelVecchio is now a managing partner of Patterson of Bowie.  It’s a Ford and Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram Dealership in Bowie, TX.
