Terroristic Threat Puts Man Behind Bars

A man is behind bars after threatening to kill himself and his wife.

Officials with the Wichita Falls Police Department said the incident happened on Sunday night around 6:00p.m. in the 2000 block of Maurine Street.  Police said Chance Crowe was making the threats.  His wife was able to get out of the house, but then the 29-year-old started nailing the doors from the inside.  He did this so the police could not get in.

Then SWAT was called out to the scene.  When they arrived Crowe started to comply and he later came out of the house.

Police said Crowe was taken for a medical evaluation.  After he was cleared, he was taken to the Wichita County Jail for Terroristic Threat.  No bond has been set.
