Improvements Coming to Archer City Water Treatment Plant

Archer City is planning to make improvements to its water treatment plant and the waste water storage.
Recently the city received a grant to fund the project.  The $275,000 is coming from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Archer City Community Development Block Program.  The money will be used to replace two sewer main lines off of highway 25.  It will also be used to replace manholes and fund street repairs associated with the project.
The city pledged a 10-percent match at $27,500.  The total cost of the project is around $315,000.
